Ruby's Baptism

Ryan and I had the opportunity to attend Ruby's Baptism a while back and had so much fun. The weekend after we drove to Fred and Holly's wedding, we headed out on another road trip and drove the 9 hours to Albuquerque (and when I say "we" I really mean "Ryan drove." I am super grateful to have a husband that doesn't like me to drive! He knows I start dozing off the second I touch that steering wheel...). When we pulled up to Jen and Dave's new home, Ruby and Jeff ran out to give us a big warm welcome. It was awesome. We hung out a lot, went for a morning run with the Pops when it was like 95 degrees out, drank Kombucha, watched the kids play in the pool, and most importantly attended a beautiful baptism. We had so much fun!

Ruby has such a sweet spirit and a big heart. Her testimony of family and God is so strong already and we are excited to see her and her testimony grow and continue to be a perfect example to everyone around her. Thank you Jen for being more than a perfect host and person; not letting us spend a penny on food while we were there, making delicious meals for the group, staying up late to chat and watch awesome shows, giving me your entire collection of pregnancy and birthing books, volunteering to come up and take care of me when I have a baby someday (totally holding you to that!) and for sacrificing the beds in your home for family. Thank you Dave for teaching me how to make your famous bread and for sending us home with some, staying up late to watch Phineas and Ferb, letting the Menn crash your pad all weekend, and being super cool. And thank you both for being so in love and being a great example to Ryan and me. Oh, and for introducing us to Parks and Rec. We will be back soon!
